Organic Church Movement Is Not A New Paradigm

I have read some blogs that are very cautious towards organic church movement. Of course everybody can always express their opinions. However, when I started to read these blogs, I think that it just seems that they were not able to grasp the main idea of Organic Church Movement.

First and foremost, Organic Church Movement is not another paradigm shift but it is a shift of going back towards the Biblical practices of worship, going back to the New Testament church ways. It is not “another new thing”, but going back to the Bible. This is similar to reformation though the big difference is, we are now living in a non violent world towards reformation.

Secondly, Organic Church Movement is not intended nor confined to merely house churches. Yes, we promote house churches, we promote simple worship that are Biblical, but it does not mean that true worship should be confined only in house churches. For starting churches, yes, we are to meet in the houses. But as these group grows continuously, time will come that a house will not be enough. So it will again have to move to another step which is to really to have a place of gathering where they fit.

After this, it is expected that the organic church will multiply itself. This is when the church is able to send out workers to start another church and even churches. The idea is, within an organic church, all the members are involve in evangelism, sharing the gospel to others and to other ministries. Thus, not only that the organic church movement is confined towards quantity focus, but especially to the quality.

The Organic Church

Starting a new congregation or let say a new church is not easy and may require lots of labor and lots of patience, not to mention all those people who needs to be involved in this task and the amount of money that is needed (depending on the method used).

An Organic Church is alive.
An Organic Church is alive.

Aside from all these, the main movement that we are pushing through right now is what we call the “Organic Church.” This is a kind of church that grows not just merely in numbers but in maturity and reaching out more people for the Lord.

Sometimes, we have the misconception that a growing church is based on numbers. But in Organic Church, we based the growth to the amount of workers and people who reaches out in the field. And this is being measured in the ratio of the church membership.

What Are The Things To Have Before You Go To Mission

All people have needs, so as missionaries. There are several things that a new missionary should prepare before going to mission. Some missionaries focuses on material aspect, some in emotional aspect, some in spiritual aspect, while some in physical aspect.

All these areas needs to be satisfied, no doubt about that. Let us discuss it one by one.
The Material Needs

I have met some people who wants to be a missionary. And for them, they need to posses some few things before they go to mission field. Here are some of the things that includes these material needs:

Digital Camera – Many short term missionaries really considered this as one of the most important things that they need to have. Of course, they do not want to miss taking pictures in places where they will go. Taking pictures on what they have done while they are in their respective ministry.

Bible Stories Can Be Used Effectively In The Ministry

Simply The Story, An Effective Tool For Your Ministry

I have attended a training recently called “Simply The Story” or otherwise known as the STS. The program teaches us on how to effectively use stories in the Bible in evangelism, sermon, Bible studies, and even in discipleships. The program “seems to be simple” and yes it is, but it is hard to work out especially for the first timers.

We have been hearing so many Bible stories in our lifetime especially those who were born in a Christian family. Guess what, almost all of us thought that Bible stories are only for kids.

We used to attend worship services during Sundays and we used to hear our pastors quote a synopsis of Bible stories in their illustrations. In here, it is totally different. We will be using stories to witness and evangelize adult people. Knowing the right way of telling Bible stories, I assure you that it can really create an impact in the life of a person.

To be honest, I really never thought that stories can do so much in comparison to the Epistles. But now, my eyes were opened that 80% of the Bible itself was written in story form. And such has its purpose.

How To Start A Local Mission Org

There Is A Need For A Local Mission Organization

It is a “MUST” for every church no matter how small it is to have a mission organization or a mission body who will take care of the mission efforts of the church. Christ himself commanded for us to reach and make disciple of all nations, to baptize them, and teaching them to obey everything he commanded (Matt 28:18-20)

However, there are churches that refused to work on this essential part for the reason that “they cannot” fully support a pastor or a church planter in full. And if they will be supporting a missionary, it has to be channeled through para-church mission organizations for transparency purposes and taking care of credibility.

There is no question concerning the efforts of these big mission organizations. They have been very helpful in the mission efforts. However, most of these mission organizations focus on foreign mission efforts, to which sometimes, we now forget that we also need to have a local mission efforts.

How Will A Man Be Saved

God Gave The Way For A Man To Be Saved

In our world, millions of people say that no one knows when or how can he be saved. Thousands of religious leaders teach things that are simply untrue. Many of them twisted the passages from the Bible in order to fit to their own beliefs. Such people also have lead thousands of people to become atheist.

Influenced by critical reasoning and unbelief to the Bible, many of them turned to be opponents of the truth that exists in the Bible. Even God’s promises in the Bible became invalid because of unbelief and skepticism concerning the validity of the Bible.

Ironically, millions of people around the world celebrate Christmas without knowing its real meaning and without internalizing the picture behind Christmas. People have forgotten that Christ our Savior was born. Of course, he was not born exactly on December 25th, but none the less, I do not find anything wrong in celebrating our Savior’s birth in the flesh in whatever date we want.

Here we see that the salvation that God gave to us is very important. It was given freely to all people. We do not have to pay for it, because it is a gift of God. But how does really a person attains salvation? This is a question that bothers millions of people, and the same question that I want to answer based on what the Bible says. Not by addition of any other book, but solely what the Bible says.
