This is really my first time to hear this beautiful song, God of this City by Chris Tomlin. The song central thought is the declaration of God’s working and rule and power over “this city” (could mean your city). I believe this song is perfect for prayer rallies, worship rallies and the like.

Our song for today is entitled Your Grace Is Enough sung by Chris Tomlin. This song is contemporary and most probably will be loved by younger generation.

The message of the song is more on doctronal form especially that its central message is all about salvation by grace.

Chris Tomlin is probably one of the most popular Christian singers today. And he is currently the talk of some of my friends right now in Facebook. This is why I tried researching about Chris Tomlin.

Here’s a short biography of Chris Tomlin (excerpt from www.about.com)

Chris Tomlin was born in east Texas on May 4, 1972 and he grew up listening to country music by bands like Alabama. His dad taught him to play guitar and he wrote his first song at 14. Saved as a youngster, he always knew that God had a specific plan for him, but he couldn’t see much beyond following the Lord. He finished high school and enrolled in college, graduating with a degree in Psychology. It was at that point that he started spending a lot of time with Passion founder, Louie Giglio. He took a big step of faith and became involved in the first Passion conference in 1997. The rest, as they say, is history.

I fell in love with this song the very first time I heard this.

The song is much more like a prayer in form. It asks God, for clean hands and pure hearts. Asking God for guidance just like what Solomon did as he asked for wisdom from God.
