Today, marks our 11th year anniversary in Lighthouse Christian Ministry. It’s been 11 long years of painstakingly ministering, serving and loving God’s loving people.

For the past 11 years, people come and go. Most of those people who have been with us 11 years ago migrated to the other places, some went back to their own home towns, while others were assigned to another place because of their jobs. Yet, the ministry lingers.

We have seen people being changed by our Lord from inside – out. And we also have seen people after 11 years, they are still the same and no improvement at all.

We have seen people who were kids then, and now mature in the Lord and are also serving Him. There were also people who turned their backs from the Lord and choose the world.

We have seen how people started from scratch and now have stable businesses. On the other hand, there were some who were poor then, and still poor now.

We have seen people who were faithful to God and loving God and serving Him. While we also see people prioritizing their physical and monetary life, while neglecting their spiritual lives.

We have seen people who were very supportive and very obedient to the Church’s house rules. While there were also blatantly disobedient and need tremendous amount of patience and understanding and love.

We have seen joy and love and celebrations. While there were also pains and heartaches.

We have seen pastors being raised, while there are also pastors who leave the ministry. We have seen ministers who have been working faithfully, while there are some are working based on money.

All these we have seen, for the past 11 years. And all these are realities of pastoral ministry. And still we are here celebrating God’s faithfulness. Lord, we love your people.

1 Kings 3-9

And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”
