There different kinds of demonic spirit surrounding the world. There are people who practice witchcrafts, Quija board, tarot cards, etc are just some of the things where demonic spirit resides and is being invited.

Apostle Paul himself said in Ephesians 6:12 ”For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” We can therefore categorize these 4 kinds of spiritual enemies:

1. Against rulers – This refers to doings wicked rulers. It maybe corruptions, oppression, and any other forms of persecutions against Christians.
2. Against authorities – This refers to the implementing agencies of persecutors.
3. Against powers of this dark world – May refer to the magical powers and witchcrafts and sorcery.
4. Against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms – May refer to the demonic forces.

Here’s How to Resist Demons in Biblical Ways

In this video collection (of course we really cannot absolutely verify if these video footages are real), we can see some demonic activity going on. But is this possible?

With tons of people who have experienced and witnessed demonic activities, we can see that this is not impossible. I myself have friends who by themselves experienced demonic activities. One says he experienced it multiple times in his former apartment. With additional testimony of his people living with him, they eventually decided to transfer to another house.

I myself experienced it. One time, I was sweeping the floor of our church, it was around 5pm and is already getting dark. My friend just left a few minutes ago. And suddenly, there was someone calling me by “tsssst” (this is a Filipino way of calling). It happened twice. It was coming from the audio room upstairs. So I checked the audio room, but there is no one there. I immediately ran outside to see and to catch if it is my friend, but my friend is already 150 meters away and I can see him walking and with the time frame which is only a few seconds apart, it is impossible for him to be that far if it was him.

There are tons of people who can definitely testify that similar things happened to them. Do I believe in demonic activity? I will say yes. But can it harm a Christian? I would say no. If God is with us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?. Please note that Paul is talking about persecutions and many things that can happen to us as we are called to minister. But remember, that we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Being more than conquerors does not only involve physical life but also the spiritual life.

Can demons posses human beings?

The answer is “Yes”. They can posses human beings. Mark 5:1-20 tells us a story about a demon possessed man. When he saw Jesus, it immediately recognizes him and begged him. Jesus asked the name of the demon, but surprisingly the man replied “Legion” for they are many. This tells us that there are cases that there is multiple demonic spirits that can posse’s man’s body.

Demonic possession happens when we allow ourselves to be possessed by them. This can also happen even if we do not allow them yet the Holy Spirit is not within us. The usual targets of demonic spirits are those who do not have Christ in their lives, those who are engaged in witchcraft and sorcery practices such us Quija board and tarot cards. These things are detestable in the sight of God.

Solution?

Iris Delgado wrote something about NOT inviting demons over our homes. It’s time to strengthen your relationship with God and allow the Holy Spirit live in you.
