Chris Tomlin is probably one of the most popular Christian singers today. And he is currently the talk of some of my friends right now in Facebook. This is why I tried researching about Chris Tomlin.
Here’s a short biography of Chris Tomlin (excerpt from www.about.com)
Chris Tomlin was born in east Texas on May 4, 1972 and he grew up listening to country music by bands like Alabama. His dad taught him to play guitar and he wrote his first song at 14. Saved as a youngster, he always knew that God had a specific plan for him, but he couldn’t see much beyond following the Lord. He finished high school and enrolled in college, graduating with a degree in Psychology. It was at that point that he started spending a lot of time with Passion founder, Louie Giglio. He took a big step of faith and became involved in the first Passion conference in 1997. The rest, as they say, is history.
From Dove Award-winner Chris Tomlin comes a Christmas worship experience you’ll cherish for years to come! Recorded live with a community of artists including Matt Redman, it features “Born That We May Have Life,” “Winter Snow,” and “Light of the World”—plus familiar favorites including “O Holy Night,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” and “Joy to the World.”
Following his 2006 RIAA Gold-certified record, See the Morning, Tomlin’s latest project communicates what he describes as the “need to introduce ourselves to love again.” Produced by Ed Cash (Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, Bebo Norman), Hello Love endeavors to give voice to the Church to worship their Creator. This is evident throughout the album on songs like “Love,” “God of This City,” “Sing, Sing, Sing,” and “I Will Rise” to name a few.
Tomlin explains, “With each new record, I continue to strive to create songs that will help people voice their worship to God. Worship is a massive word with a very broad scope, but in the end, it is very simple. It is love! It’s our response in love to our great God who loved us first.”
Award-winning artist Tomlin offers a whole new set of soul-inspiring easy-to-sing songs about God’s faithfulness. It’s as sure as the rising sun! Includes the single release “Made to Worship,” “Awesome Is the Lord,” “Holy Uncreated One,” “The Lion and the Lamb,” “Let Your Mercy Reign,” “Glorious,” “Rejoice,” and “Everlasting God.”
