It’s first quarter of 2018, and here’s the latest ministry updates.
Everything is getting quite busy here especially that there were 2 consecutive tropical depressions that caused flooding and damaged a huge chunk of farmlands in Leyte last December. So after the earthquake response that ended last November, this February, we started working on the livelihood recovery of farmers in various areas. This is another project of Central Philippines Convention of Southern Baptist Churches and Asia Pacific Baptist Aid.
So this March, we started with the seminars again and worked with the pastors and farmers in different areas covering Basey in Samar, Ormoc, Dulag, Javier, Palo, Mayorga and Villaba.
I also would like to mention that many of our churches needs assistance for church building improvements, and one for building construction. So I would like to ask for prayers on that matter.
And for the last thing, kindly pray for God’s guidance about the plan of opening a small Bible school for potential students here in Leyte. Currently there has been a talk with IBC-Manila, however it can still take at least a year before it will materialize. Unfortunately, there is already an urgent need to start classes with some available people who are willing to commit for a study and earn certificates for pastoral study. So kindly pray for wisdom on how are we going to address this need.
Thanks!
