Let Us
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering—for He is faithful that promised. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:22-24

A New and Living Way
“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the Holiest by the Blood of Jesus—by a new and living Way, which He has consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh—and having a High Priest over the House of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Hebrews 10:19-22
Sermon Illustrations About Baptism
Meaning of Baptism
Those who are baptized in Jesus do not need to strive after a new life.
They have already attained new life through dying with Christ. But they do
need to nurture that new life so it can grow and mature. That’s what
church is for. That’s what Bible study is for. That’s what prayer is for.
It is like the Parable of the Sower. Many of those seeds sprouted up, but
only a few grew into maturity. The rest withered and died.

Stay Focused!
We sometimes miss the great opportunities of life because we get
sidetracked. I once heard the tale of a talented and gifted bloodhound in
England that started a hunt by chasing a full-grown male deer. During the
chase a fox crossed his path, so he began now to chase the fox. A rabbit
crossed his hunting path, so he began to chase the rabbit. After chasing
the rabbit for a while, a tiny field mouse crossed his path, and he chased
the mouse to the corner of a farmer’s barn. The bloodhound had begun the
hunt chasing a prized male deer for his master and wound up barking at a
tiny mouse. It is a rare human being who can do three or four different
things at a time–moving in different directions.
Once And For All
“For such a High Priest became us, Who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens, Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice—first, for his own sins and then for the people’s—for this He did once, when He offered up Himself.”
Hebrews 7:26-27
True Love Waits: The How To Wait
The issue of true love waits is a valid issue concerning of love. The big question however is, “How to wait?”
With the current shift of culture and moral standards of the world, I believe true love waits is an “on-time” seminar for our younger generation.
I do not believe to what the government is doing as their solution for the rising cases of HIV. I believe that it is still the revival of moral values is still the best solution for this, hence, religious groups can do indeed play a great role in this issue.
The article below was taken from the True Love Waits Manual published by Church Strengthening Ministry years ago. Thus, I find this article direct to the point and helpful to our younger generation.
Praying for You
“But this Man, because He continues ever, has an unchangeable Priesthood. Wherefore, He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 7:24-25
