What is Success in the Ministry?
Many Christians at first glance define success in terms of positive results: large numbers of people responding in faith and obedience to the proclamation of God’s Word, coalitions formed, money raised and buildings built for the purposes of God’s Kingdom. These are all good. But how about Christians who minister to a faithful few? Are they “unsuccessful” believers and ministers? We may need to consider the following:
1. How do we determine success? Did Jesus measure it only in terms of attendance, budgets, buildings and programs? Or is it measured in terms of faithfulness, endurance and perseverance to His calling for our lives?
How To Listen To God
1.Be peaceful (v.14)
It is very important for Christians to live in peace with all people. Please note that the Bible tells us that we make every effort. It implies that in our lives, we will be facing troubles with other people, yet we are to make every effort to live at peace. It did not exempt us from problems and troubles. But it tells us to work for it.
Further more, the passage tells us to make peace with “all men” and not with selected men. Living at peace allows us to do many things in ministerial works. In Ephesians 6:15, apostle Paul instructed us to wear the gospel of peace which function as our boots. By doing that, we are then able to easily maneuver in Christian works.
How To Endure Christian Discipline
Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles (v.1)
To endure discipline, we have to throw off everything that hinders. This means that we have to get rid of things that we already know that causes us to stumble. Getting rid means stopping if we are sinning.
It may also mean repentance and submission to authorities. After all, the purpose of discipline is restoration and not condemnation. Getting rid of these may not be easy, and we may even think of compromising what we believe so that we may not suffer. But truths in the Bible will always remain as truths.
Is Sola Scriptura (Bible Alone) Biblical?
In one of the blogs that I have been following, there was a question raised; “Where exactly in the Bible that Sola Scriptura appear?”, well I would like to answer this question in a non-debatable way.
Here it is, as far as my study is concern, I haven’t seen that the Bible says, “sola scriptura”. However, you can find lots of passages against “Tradition” and you can see lots of passages in the Bible that tells us to read and study the word of the Lord.

I was kind of laughing when I have seen this funny video between God and the Atheist. It portrayed the usual reasoning of the atheist while presented many truths about God. Though the video is not really perfect in its portrayal about God, still we can see lots of truths in this video that were explained in the Bible yet the atheist, by reasoning tries to deny his existence.
